Shehan Prull's work at Eatingtools is built on a single idea: that the philosophy of the Japanese techniques of artistic repair such as ginsugi and yobitsugi can be as purposeful on a working blade as they are on a treasured ceramic. Brass, tin, and silver meet high-carbon steel in joints and inlays of extraordinary craft, each knife distinct in its imagery and intent. This is making with meaning.
