Crafting leather knife rolls and kitchen accessories at her studio in New Hampshire, artist and designer Linny Kenney hand cuts, hand dyes, and hand stitches each piece one at a time. Before founding Linny Kenney Leather, Linny sang opera in New York City and Germany, and worked as a horse wrangler in California. Preparing to embark on a 3,700 mile, eight and a half month journey across the United States on horseback, a remarkable undertaking that she successfully completed in 2010 with her horse Sojourner, Linny created the leather tools she would need for the trip, and soon realized that there was wide demand for such high quality, ethically made, and unique items. So, upon the completion of her ride, Linny started her leather business, where she makes beautiful, highly personal culinary accessories for chefs around the world.
