Jesper Voxnaes of VoxDesign is a veteran knife and tool maker, acclaimed designer, and artist based in northern Denmark. One of the first craftspeople represented on Eatingtools over a decade ago, Jesper's custom knives and tools will always play a central roll in our brand story. Our founder, Abe, first met Jesper twenty years ago in the early 2000's and the two have remained close ever since. As an independent artisan, Jesper quickly established a reputation as a top-tier maker of purpose-specific tools, whether those be outdoor blades, knives for the chef, or objects for every-day use. As his repertoire grew, so did his popularity, and soon Jesper found himself spending more and more time with pen and paper in hand, designing functional objects, some award-winning, for production companies the world over. In his free time, Jesper created the iconic Snailor, a curious, mischievous, and ever-intriguing creature of multiple talents, including bottle opening. The Snailor led to the introduction of its brethren, Orwell the Owl, the Ping, Bear, and others, each with a backstory, collectability, and undeniable allure. Jesper went on to work with fellow Danish artist Jens Anso on various collaborations, with the two teaming up as co-founders along with Michigan's Jim Wirth to launch GiantMouse Knives to rave reviews. Now, after several years, Jesper is back in the Eatingtools collection with a special release of Fat Pings and Orwell Owls in titanium, finished with one-of-a-kind costumes for release on Halloween 2023.
