Grain in the stunning Italian Olive Wood radiates love and a calm feeling of organic movement, highlighting the board's stoic, dark walnut base through which thin strips of maple wrap from beneath, the side, to cutting surface. A matching plate, designed to insert beneath the board's half-moon cut-out on to which ingredients are easily moved once prepped, is turned by hand at Luke's Owl Woodworks studio and every bit as handsome as the board itself. With juice grooves milled along two sides, and premium rubber non-slip feet with stainless hardware below, this piece of functional culinary art will serve the chef's kitchen for many years to come.
