What do you get when you combine an artist blacksmith, bladesmith, and knife designer? The Steel Away Cleaver by Joshua Prince, of course. Fully forged from a single piece of 440C stainless steel, and surprisingly comfortable in the pinch grip we would add, this quite heavy and entirely unique cutting tool is the latest one-of-a-kind creation by this Rhode Island maker. With short and wonderfully shaped convex bevels that lead to a thin, sharp cutting edge, the 167mm / 6.6" long and 90mm tall blade will find no shortage of chopping tasks in the kitchen or outdoors beside the grill for light-to-medium butchery work. A dark, matte finish, rough, forge-finished blade flats, and a trio of new Josh Prince stamps complete this jaw-dropping, integral-construction package.
