Buckeye Burl Forged Chef 210mm

Forged to shape by James Oatley, the hammer marks on this 210mm / 8.27" blade tell the story of its creation. Thin behind the edge and stiff at the spine, the 12c27 stainless blade stands 56mm tall with a gentle curve to the edge, making this an outstanding all-around daily prep knife for both delicate and more demanding tasks. A dyed blue buckeye burl handle with brass bolster raises slightly from the plane of the blade's edge making this a formidable chopper. Beautiful, curly, burly redwood is used for the saya, topped with a brass pin.
