Create by bladesmith, blacksmith, and teacher Nick Rossi, this striking handmade chef knife features a shichi mai (seven layer) blade clad in salvaged Maine wrought iron, with layers of 1084, and 15n20 carbon alloys, and an edge of CruForgeV at the core. Built as a versatile and powerful daily user for all manner of meal prep, the 230mm / 9.05" blade is thin and hard at the edge, stiff along the spine, and tapers to a fine tip for slicing and detail work. As beautiful as the blade is the sculpted maple burl handle with liners of red G10, a black canvas micarta frame, two brass and one red G10 pin, and finally, a contoured ferrule of carbon fiber.
