A true laser of the Stone Cold Cutlass collection from James Oatley, this 220mm / 8.66" gyuto provides a 57mm tall RWL-34 stainless steel blade with beautifully convex, high-polished bevels and a wicked edge. A distal taper that thins from 3.1mm above the heel to 1mm an inch from the tip makes it a large, precise and versatile blade that flexes just enough near the tip while chopping firmly at the heel. Dyed, stabilized maple burl is accented with a nickel spacer to form the long, comfortable, gently tapered and faceted handle. A mulberry wood saya with pin to match the knife's handle is included.
