Trypillian Artifact Spoon

Terry Widner has created another beautiful artifact of his own, this creation inspired by the figurine artifacts found at the Cucuteni-Trypillian City excavation site, dated to approximately 4,000 BCE. In Sapelle wood, the human form includes beautiful silver wire inlays, and sits atop a heart-shaped bowl piece that plays the role of the figure's lower body. A cross between spoon, with the bust acting as handle, and a bowl, sculpted to sit upright on a flat surface, this carving by the artisan behind Spoontaenous is a unique, one-of-a-kind work of art for the home.
