Bladesmith Saul Kokkinos-Kennedy creates just a few chef knives each year, and each is a work of art. Simple and functional in form, classic and unpretentious in aesthetic, it's a type of art we do love. The Eastern form of this 210mm long by 62mm tall blade in forged 1084 carbon steel is executed beautifully, the workhorse edge rocking nicely on the board while maintaining a relatively straight profile. Faceted with superbly long tapers that extend out in all directions, the wa-style octagonal bolster flows through spacers of G10 and brass and onward to a piece of ebony that seems made for this particular knife.
