Damasteel Maple Cleaver 170mm

Forged by hand from Damasteel stainless damascus steel with integral bolster construction, this tall, thin, and beautiful vegetable cleaver was made in Washington State by bladesmith Salem Straub. The blade, 170mm / 6.7" long by 63mm tall, features slight compound 'S-grind' bevels for enhanced food release, and razor-sharp edge at 63 HRC hardness. Sculpted from double-dyed green maple burl, the handle features through-tang construction, with the stainless steel bolt visible at rear. The stepped-down bolster fitting adds a wonderfully elegant detail to an already striking knife.
