Sterling Bog Oak Chef 245mm

The release of this knife on International Women's Day 2022 is no coincidence. Designed and crafted in Boston, Massachusetts’s, this knife is the creation of one of few female culinary bladesmiths in the world, our own Eliane LeBlanc. In debuting this stunning piece today, and while the current events in Ukraine transpire, 10% of proceeds will be donated to the World Central Kitchen charity as its founder Chef José Andrés and team work to feed families amid crisis. The knife is nothing short of incredible, thin, hard, sharp, and wonderfully balanced for daily meal prep in a full-size, 245mm long by 53mm tall Western profile. The steel, finished with rough, forged flats and hand-polished convex bevels, consists of a 52100 carbon steel core, layer of pure nickel, and cladding of ball-bearing damascus. For comfort and control, the handle is sculpted from bog oak carbon dated to 7,500 years old, a spacer of sterling silver, and ferule of paper micarta.
