Perhaps the finest culinary knife ever made by Master Bladesmith David Lisch, according to Mr Lisch himself that is, we are honored to offer this incredible chef knife for sale here. Pre-owned and used only once as a test and never sharpened, the knife was sent to David who refinished it entirely from handle to tip, re-etching the blade and applying a fresh edge, to prepare it for this debut. The photos tell the complete story: forged by hand from David's house-made feather damascus steel, a beautifully sculpted integral bolster meets a ring of brass followed by an exquisite piece of amboyna burl to complete a comfortable and elegant handle. The blade, extending forward for 255mm / 10", is bold and exquisite, shaped to perform every cut around the kitchen, with the spine's full distal taper leading to a slim, pointed, yet tough tip for slicing, while the long, gently curved, and thin edge sits below superbly shaped convex bevels for uninhibited performance on the cutting board. Balanced in every way, from the thin, hard, capable edge to the nuanced elegance of this particular feather damascus, to the balance point just at the front of the bolster giving the knife a wonderfully natural feel in the hand, no detail is overlooked.
