This is no ordinary vegetable cleaver. The 7.5" (190mm) san mai blade, forged, heat treated and water quenched by bladesmith Bryan Raquin is dressed to a T with a handle and matching saya by Julio Garza of Mokuzo Toronto. An exciting opportunity to own one of few cleavers created by Bryan, and one of the last custom jobs to come from Mokuzo Toronto before he recently closed shop. Birdseye maple, ebony, copper and a stone composite combine to give the knife a buttoned-up appeal that will make heads turn. And don't let the polished look fool you, the blade on this knife is a beauty in its own right, standing 70mm tall at the heel its sharp and wonderfully thin edge of hard, super-clean carbon steel is ready for serious action.
