An elegant, long, and slim spoon carved by Terry Widner from a dark, beautiful, dense piece of an unknown wood which was brought to Terry by his wife from her native Philippines. The wood had been salvaged from an old, weathered pier post, and displays brown, black, and red tones in the tight grain that runs from a tapered, thin end forward like the undulating body of a snake in motion to the bowl, just behind which Terry has added a series of fine silver inlays. The bowl would be excellent for spices, herbs, or other dry goods requiring a small vessel.
