Robert Trimarchi designs and creates custom chef knives in Melbourne, Australia under the brand name The Nine. Built for the rigors of daily use and designed with a recognizable and organic aesthetic that we love, Robert continually innovates and experiments in the shop, producing his own san mai steels and refining his methods to ensure consistency, quality, and performance. Normalization and heat-treatment are done in a tightly controlled environment and Robert tests the hardness of each blade both before and after to ensure optimal grain and edge characteristics.
